Beijing Soonjet Technologies Co. Ltd began to develop the Micro Tube Demister (MTD) in 2022. After going through theoretical research, computer simulation analysis, small-scale tests, and on-site tests at thermal power plants, it now has the conditions for batch production. In 2024, it has been applied in engineering. The invention patent for this technology has been authorized.

The Micro Tube Demister (MTD) is short for Micro-Tubes dust and mist eliminator. Because the separation efficiency is greatly improved, it can greatly reduce pollutant emissions (by 50% to 80%), save energy consumption in the purification process (by 50% to 80%), and at the same time, it also has technical and economic advantages such as easy to be clean, occupying less space, and having low comprehensive cost. It can solve problems such as : high particulate matter emission concentration, large airflow resistance, fouling of the demister, large maintenance workload, and chimney rain caused by the demister.

The micro tube demister significantly improved separation efficiency.

Principle:
gas flow rotates and rises inside the micro tube, causing dust particles move towards the tube wall under centrifugal force and be captured when they reach the tube wall. The radial distance of the micro tube demister is smaller, and the distance of particles moving to the tube wall is shorter, making it easier to be captured by the tube wall. The efficiency of dust and mist removal significantly improved.

Case Study

On March 3, 2024, the micro tube demister for spray drying exhaust gas purification spray tower of a chemical plant was put into operation.

The application of micro tube demister shows that:
In the case of high concentration of imported particulate matter, no obvious dirt or blockage risk is observed;
The airflow resistance is about 50Pa;
The concentration of exported particulate matter is very low;
Operation stable and reliable .
